David Snyder is a photojournalist from Baltimore, U.S. From 1996-2005 he worked for the U.S-based aid agency Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in the Balkans, Kenya and South Africa.

Tsunami survivors caught up in Sri Lanka conflict
In 2008, Caritas Internationalis - the umbrella organisation for 162 national Catholic charities - commissioned photojournalist David Snyder to travel to Sri Lanka. There he met the people who'd survived the 2004 tsunami only to find themselves then caught in the nation's conflict.
