EL SALVADOR

San Salvador

Area
21,040 square km, (1 km = 0.62 miles). As the smallest country in continental Latin America, El Salvador is bounded by Guatemala to the north and Honduras to the north and east, a string of volcanoes running east to west, roughly parallel to its Pacific Ocean coastline.

Language
Spanish is the official and predominant language. Indigenous minorities speak Nahuatl and Kekchi.
