Area
823,168 square km (1 km = 0.62 miles), bound to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the east by Botswana, to the south by South Africa, to the north by Angola, and along the top of the Caprivi strip, by Zambia. Over half the population live in what was known as Ovamboland in the extreme north of the country. Kavango and Caprivi provinces are also relatively well populated. The only rivers that flow all year mark Namibia's international borders.

Language
English is the official language, but Khoisan, Bantu, German and Afrikaans are also spoken.
