Area
241,038 square km (1 km = 0.62 miles), of which 43,942 square km are water, including swamps and the northern half of Lake Victoria, the source of the White Nile. Uganda is bounded by Kenya to the east, Sudan to the north, Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire) to the west and Rwanda and Tanzania to the south.

Language
English is the official language, but is spoken by a minority. Swahili and Luganda are most widely spoken.
