536,869 square km (1 km = 0.62 miles), bordered by Saudi Arabia to the north, Oman to the east, the Red Sea to the west and the Gulf of Aden to the south. The area includes the offshore islands of Perim and Kamaran in the Red Sea and Socotra in the Gulf of Aden.
Language
Arabic is the official language. English is also spoken.
