On December 26, 2004 an earthquake measuring 9.0 on the Richter scale caused a massive tsunami to sweep across the India Ocean. In the hours and days after the tragedy, our Indian Ocean tsunami section offered breaking news reports, analysis, dozens of pictures from the scene, factboxes, viewpoints and graphics.
