Track and windspeed of Very intense tropical cyclone Bondo
TROPICAL STORM RISK
Very intense tropical cyclone Bondo struck Madagascar as a tropical storm at about 12:00 GMT on 25 December. Data supplied by the US Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Center suggest that the point of landfall was near 15.3 S, 46.4 E. Bondo brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 111 km/h (69 mph). Wind gusts in the area may have been considerably higher.
