Track and windspeed of Tropical cyclone Clovis

Tropical cyclone Clovis struck Madagascar as a tropical storm at about 18:00 GMT on 3 January. Data supplied by the US Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Center suggest that the point of landfall was near 20.9 S, 48.3 E. Clovis brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 83 km/h (51 mph). Wind gusts in the area may have been considerably higher.
