Track and windspeed of Typhoon Fitow
TROPICAL STORM RISK
Typhoon Fitow struck Japan as a tropical storm at about 00:00 GMT on 7 September. Data supplied by the US Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Center suggest that the point of landfall was near 37.1 N, 139.8 E. Fitow brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 101 km/h (63 mph). Wind gusts in the area may have been considerably higher.
