Since 12th of January, heavy rains have caused severe floods in the State of Rio de Janeiro, located in the South East of Brazil.
National Civil Defence report 4 deaths due to these floods. As a result of these heavy rains it is estimated that at least
1,435 people have lost their homes, 12,858 people have been temporarily displaced and 35,213 people have been affected.
