According to the latest Desert Locust Bulletin published by the FAO "Large numbers of Desert Locust swarms continue to move north from West Africa to Northwest Africa. Smaller movements are underway in the Sahel towards the west, in the northern Red Sea, and a few swarms have arrived in the Canary Islands."
