This overview map shows the city of Istanbul, Turkey. The city was covered by QUICKBIRD imagery with a ground resolution of 0.64 m, acquired on April 30, 2008 and May 18, 2008. Analyses of building densities were made based on IKONOS imagery of December 20, 2003 and March 03, 2004 and can be seen in detail on Map Sheets 1-6. Visual image comparison between IKONOS data of 2003/2004 and QUICKBIRD data of 2008 proved that there were no major changes in building structure and hence no major changes in building density.
