Nigeria - This map illustrates satellite-detected thermal anomalies (active fires) over the petroleum facility of Atlas Cove Jetty, Lagos, Nigeria. This fire location was detected by the MODIS Terra satellite sensor on 12 July 2009 at 22:22 GMT, approximately 50 minutes after the reported attack on the facility by the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) at 21:30 GMT.
