Warrenton, Va.- June 16, 2008 - The Air Serv International board of directors today announced the appointment of James R. Plaxton as chief Executive Officer, with his mission to continue to maintain a not for profit humanitarian aviation perspective and assure efficiency and effectiveness in our work. He replaces Christopher H. Johnson, who has served the organization capably as CEO since December of 2007.

Jim was president of Dominion Pegasus Helicopters and was responsible for building the company from six to seventy-four Helicopters operating under charter for government and industry in all the provinces and regions of Canada as well as parts of Africa.

He was also president and CEO (plus owner) of Air Ontario in what was then known as Great Lakes Airlines. He was responsible for building the airline from a bankrupt company operating four Convair 440's to the largest regional air carrier in Canada, operating 24 DeHavilland Dash 8s. The company was sold to Air Canada.

He was a consultant to a large privately owned leasing company that operated 5 Boeing 727-200 (F) aircraft on lease with a Canadian air freight operator which was experiencing financial difficulty. He represented the client in determining the ultimate viability of the lessee and developed and implemented a plan for the restructuring of the lessee and the recapture of capital for the client.

Air Serv International is a not-for-profit humanitarian aviation organization providing disaster relief, sustainable development, environmental restoration and medical evacuations to those in need.
