ICRC: New member of the Committee

Geneva (ICRC) – At its meeting of 20 June 2007, the Assembly of the International Committee of the Red Cross co-opted Anne de Boccard as a new member of the Committee.

This brings the membership of the Committee to 18.

Ms de Boccard, who holds a degree in political science with emphasis in international relations, followed an international financial training programme in New York and has a diploma from the Swiss Banking School.

A former member of the executive board of Credit Suisse, she has been the chief executive officer of Citadel Finance in Geneva since 1999.

She is vice-president of the Committee of the Geneva Red Cross.

Ms de Boccard will take up her duties as a member of the International Committee of the Red Cross on 1 September 2007.
