Israel and the occupied territories: ICRC president to visit Gaza

Geneva (ICRC) - The president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Jakob Kellenberger, is travelling to Israel and the occupied territories for a three-day visit to witness at first hand the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

In particular, he will be visiting patients and medical teams in Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Mr Kellenberger will also hold talks with senior Israeli and Palestinian officials.
