Hundreds of thousands of Pakistani people have been displaced in the north-western region of the country due to escalating conflicts between the Pakistan Army and Taliban. More than 700,000 people have been displaced since May 2, swelling the pre-existing IDP (Internally Displaced Person) population to an estimated 1.3 million.

GlobalMedic is deploying members of its RRT to Pakistan along with water purification units which will provide clean drinking water for over 50,000 people per day and a 22 foot by 42 foot inflatable field hospital to provide instant mobile medical infrastructure. Additionally, 2 million water purification tablets which will provide 2 million litres of clean drinking water and water purification units will provide 70,000 people per day with clean drinking water are being reallocated from other areas of Pakistan.
