Feb 6 - From the ashes of Nairobi's violence-hit Kibera slum messages of peace have started to rise thanks to a graffiti artist.
Solomon Muhandi, whose graffiti artist name is Solo 7, is painting messages of peace on brick walls, burned barrels and concrete blocks. Kibera is one of the largest slums in Africa and has a diverse population of up to 1 million.
Located on the southwest edge of Nairobi, it experienced some of the worst looting and rioting following disputed elections in December.
