FACTBOX-Security developments in Iraq, July 24

July 24 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1915 GMT on Thursday.

* denotes a new or updated item.

* BAQUBA - A female suicide bomber killed seven people, including six members of a U.S.-backed neighbourhood patrol group, in Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) northeast of Baghdad in Diyala province, police said.

KIRKUK - The U.S. military killed a teenager sitting in a car in central Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, Iraqi police said. The U.S. military said their convoy came under armed attack from a sedan and their soldiers returned fire, killing a passenger. One U.S. soldier was wounded during the attack, the U.S. military said.

* HASWA - Iraqi security forces backed by the U.S. military detained 68 suspected militants in Haswa, 50 km (30 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

* YUSUFIYA - Iraqi police found the bodies of a civilian and a policeman in Yusufiya, 20 km (12 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - Gunmen killed three members of a U.S.-backed neighbourhood patrol group and wounded two others in two separate attacks in northern Baghdad's Adhamiya district, a patrol member said.

BAGHDAD - A bomb wounded a senior leader of the Shi'ite Dawa party at his house in Zaafaraniya district, southeastern Baghdad, police said. Three bodyguards were also wounded.

BAGHDAD - The U.S. military said it had captured six wanted militants and detained 14 other suspected militants in operations targeting al-Qaeda in various areas north and south of Baghdad on Wednesday and Thursday.

MOSUL - Iraqi police found the bodies of two civilians and a policeman in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles), north of Baghdad, police said. The bodies bore gunshot wounds.
