Oct 31 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1930 GMT on Wednesday.

* BAGHDAD - Police said they found six bodies around Baghdad on Wednesday.

* MOSUL - The bodies of eight people including three policemen were found shot and burned in two districts in western Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

KIRKUK - U.S. forces killed three militants during an operation targeting al Qaeda in Kirkuk, the U.S. military said.

BAGHDAD - The Iraqi army killed 10 militants and detained 44 during the last 24 hours in different parts of Iraq, the Defence Ministry said.

BAGHDAD - U.S. and Iraqi forces detained a suspected al Qaeda leader on Monday in the al-Khadhra district of western Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

BAGHDAD - Five bodies were found in different areas of Baghdad on Tuesday, police said.

TUZ KHURMATO - A roadside bomb killed an off-duty soldier and a policeman and wounded one civilian when it exploded near their car on a main road near Tuz Khurmato, 180 km (110 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

KIRKUK - Dhahir al-Bayati, chief judge of Kirkuk Appeal Court, escaped an assassination attempt when gunmen opened fire at his car, killing one of his guards and seriously wounding another in the northern city of Kirkuk, 250 km (150 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

KIRKUK - Gunmen wounded an intelligence officer along with his wife and son in a drive-by shooting in the northern city of Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
