BANGKOK, May 4 (Reuters) - The world needs to cut annual emissions of carbon dioxide by between 50 and 85 percent by 2050 to keep global warming in check, a U.N. climate change report said on Friday.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, approved in Bangkok, also said keeping the rise in temperatures to within 2 degrees centigrade would cost 0.12 percent of global Gross Domestic Product.
