TEHRAN, Aug 25 (Reuters) - A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck a southern region of Iran on Saturday and injured four people, the state broadcaster's Web site reported.

The quake, which struck in the morning, hit areas around Haji Abad and Orzuiyeh, more than 900 km (560 miles) south of the capital Tehran. The Web site said the affected area included about 14 villages each with about 35 families.

Iran, OPEC's No. 2 oil producer, is regularly hit by earthquakes and is criss-crossed with fault lines. The region hit on Saturday is not close to Iran's main oil producing areas.
