TEHRAN, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin, brushing off the threat of a reported plot to assassinate him, arrived in Iran on Tuesday for talks focusing on Tehran's nuclear row with the West.

A Reuters witness said the Russian leader's plane had landed in Tehran. Iranian state media also reported Putin had arrived at Mehrabad airport in the Iranian capital.
