PRISTINA, July 21 (Reuters) - Albania has registered its first confirmed cases of the H1N1 flu virus, Deputy Health Minister Arben Ivanaj told Reuters on Tuesday.

"We have the first cases of the H1N1 virus in Albania. Last night we received test results from one Albanian student and three Philippine sailors. All of them have H1N1 virus," he said.

Ivanaj said the Philippine sailors' ship had already left Albanian waters with the three sick sailors on board.

Several Balkan countries have reported cases of the flu in recent weeks. (Reporting by Fatos Bytyci; Editing by Adam Tanner and Louise Ireland)
