GUWAHATI, India, Sept 1 (Reuters) - One person was killed and seven wounded on Saturday when a bomb exploded in a busy market in Guwahati, the main city of India's troubled northeastern state of Assam, police said.

Authorities said they suspected the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), a separatist militant group, to be behind the attack in the Bamunimaidum area in the eastern part of the city.
