JAMMU, India, April 25 (Reuters) - At least 22 people were killed and 14 injured when a bus skidded off a mountain road and fell into a stream in Indian Kashmir on Wednesday, police said.

The driver lost control on a sharp turn and the vehicle plunged 300 feet (90 metres) near Poonch, 250 km (155 miles) northwest of Kashmir's winter capital of Jammu, a police officer, who did not want to be identified, said.

Buses in Kashmir are often overcrowded and accidents on the narrow mountainous roads are common.
