Twelve killed, 50 hurt in Bangladesh road accident

DHAKA, July 7 (Reuters) - At least 12 people were killed and nearly 50 injured when two buses collided on a Bangladesh highway on Monday, police said.

The accident, apparently caused by reckless driving, occurred on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Iliotganj near Comilla district town, 100 km (62 miles) southeast of the capital Dhaka, police said. (Reporting by Nizam Ahmed; Editing by Jerry Norton)
