DHAKA, April 16 (Reuters) - Security forces in Bangladesh detained former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia's youngest son in a pre-dawn swoop on Monday, after arresting his brother last month, television channels reported.

Khaleda's elder son and political heir apparent Tareque Rahman was arrested last month, which the country's army-backed interim government said was part of a crackdown on corruption.

Her second son Arafat Rahman was arrested by army-led joint forces, the TV channels said. No details were given.

She has no other children.

"Arafat Rahman was arrested on some specific charges," M.A. Matin, an adviser to the interim government and chief of a national task force daling with serious crime and corruption, told reporters without elaborating.

The tv channels said security forces entered Khaleda's home after midnight on Sunday and stayed there for about an hour, then came out with Arafat and put him in a waiting vehicle.

Police said Arafat would be taken to a city court, probably later on Monday, and be sent to jail from there.

Arafat, a businessman, was not involved in politics.

Khaleda herself has been put under virtual confinement at her home for over a week now.

Over 160 senior politicians have been arrested on charges of graft and abuse of power since the government imposed a state of emergency on Jan. 11 and postponed an election scheduled for Jan. 22 in the wake of widespread political violence.
