FINANCIAL NEWS: THANH NIEN -- Vietnam's consumer price index is on a rising trend, and a deficit in the country's balance of payments may mean the dong's depreciation could be more than 5-6 percent this year, Oricombank chief executive Tran Phuong Vinh said. ECONOMIC AND GENERAL NEWS: HANOI MOI -- The customs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City should tighten inspection to limit the import of cars by air to prevent second-hand cars being branded as new vehicles for import to avoid taxes, the General Department of Customs said. TUOI TRE -- The Health Ministry warned on Sunday of the spread of the H1N1 flu virus in public areas after 16 students and four teachers were found to be infected at a school in Ho Chi Minh City.
