-- Shareholders have approved Asia Commercial Bank <ACB.HN> raising its registered capital through issuing 1.35 trillion dong ($76 million) of convertible bonds this year.

LAO DONG

-- Bao Viet Holdings, Vietnam's largest insurer, made a net profit of 325.6 billion dong ($18.3 million) in the period from Oct. 16, 2007 to Dec. 31, 2008, compared with 733.85 billion dong in the period between Jan. 1 and Oct. 15, 2007, its audited statement said.
