WINDHOEK, 16 January 2008 (IRIN) - Emma Aina Nulimba is a Red Cross home-based care volunteer in Namibia. HIV-positive herself, she knows the difficulty of living with the virus in communities marked by poverty, and in which stigma remains powerful.

In this new radio report,  she takes PlusNews on her rounds to meet the people she tries to help in informal settlements on the outskirts of the capital, Windhoek

Namibia, like many countries in southern Africa, is struggling with high rates of HIV infection, but it has one of the region's most successful programmes to prevent mother-to-child transmission of the virus. PlusNews takes a look at the programme.
