Large exlosion near ministry in Afghan capital-TV

KABUL, July 7 (Reuters) - There was a large explosion near the Interior Ministry in the Afghan capital on Monday, but there was no immediate word on casualties, the private Tolo TV station said.

Taliban insurgents have vowed to step up their campaign of suicide bombings this year to overthrow the pro-Western Afghan government and drive out foreign forces.
