ISLAMABAD, April 28 (Reuters) - A suicide bomber killed around 15 people and wounded several others, including Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, in northwest Pakistan on Saturday, according to a senior government official.

The blast occurred as people gathered around the interior minister at the end of a public meeting in Charsada, a town 20 km (12.5 miles) northeast of Peshawar, the capital of North West Frontier Province.

"According to initial reports coming from the scene it was a suicide attack," Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah told Aaj Television, adding that about 15 people have been killed.
