Twin blasts hit police HQ in Afghan south, casualties

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Sept 7 (Reuters) - Two suicide bombers detonated explosives inside the headquarters of the main police station in Afghanistan's southern city of Kandahar on Sunday, causing casualties, two sources told Reuters.

Police officials and some civilians were among the casualties in the explosions, the latest in worsening violence in recent months. (Reporting by Mirwais Afghan; Writing by Sayed Salahuddin; Editing by Sanjeev Miglani)
