Nov 5 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 0900 GMT on Wednesday: KANDAHAR - The U.S. military said on Wednesday it was checking reports that civilians had been killed in an air strike by its warplanes in the southern province of Kandahar earlier this week. MAIDAN WARDAK - Afghan forces killed seven Taliban insurgents in an operation in the Sayed Abad district of Maidan Wardak province, 80 km (50 miles) southwest of Kabul, on Tuesday, a district official said. LOGAR - A roadside bomb killed four police when the device hit their vehicle in Logar province, 80 km (50 miles) south of Kabul, on Tuesday, a provincial official said. KABUL - A rocket attack killed two civilians and wounded three more in a residential area in eastern Kabul overnight, a police official said.
