FACTBOX-Security incidents in Afghanistan, July 7

July 7 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 1400 GMT on Saturday:

* Indicates new or updated item:

* FARAH - Residents and the head of a district council in the western province of Farah said air strikes killed 108 civilians. The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) denied civilian casualties and said Afghan and coalition troops, backed by air strikes had killed more than 30 Taliban insurgents in Farah. Eleven Afghan police were also killed in the Farah fighting, a provincial official said.

* KUNAR - Residents and provincial officials said air strikes in Kunar had killed 36 civilians on Thursday and Friday. The Afghan Defence Ministry said 37 "terrorists" were killed in Kunar. ISAF said air strikes killed "a number" of guerrillas in Kunar on Friday, but denied there were any civilian casualties.

* URUZGAN - NATO and Afghan troops killed 33 Taliban guerrillas in an operation backed by air support in the southern province of Uruzgan, the Afghan Defence Ministry said.

KANDAHAR - Four Canadian soldiers were wounded by a suicide car bomb near the southern city of Kandahar on Saturday, the Canadian army said. The Taliban claimed responsibility.
