Roadside bomb kills 4 police in Afghan south-witnesses

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, May 17 (Reuters) - At least four police officers were killed in a roadside bomb blast in Afghanistan's southern city of Kandahar on Thursday, witnesses said, in the latest sign of rising violence in the country.

The police were travelling in a vehicle when the device exploded on a road inside the city, they said.
