Police confirmed the attack, adding that two of his bodyguards were killed and three wounded. * TAL AFAR - One policeman and one civilian were killed and three people wounded by a bomb planted inside a restaurant in the town of Tal Afar, 420 km (260 miles) northwest of Baghdad, police said. * AL-ZAB - Gunmen killed the leader of U.S.-backed neighbourhood patrol groups in the al-Zab area, 35 km (20 miles) southwest of Kirkuk, on Wednesday, police said.
