Nov 9 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq as of 0830 GMT on Thursday:

BAGHDAD - A car bomb targeting an Iraqi army patrol killed a soldier and wounded four civilians in Palestine street in northeastern Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said.

BAGDHAD - A car bomb targeting an Iraqi army patrol killed a man and wounded four others, both soldiers and civilians, near the college of Fine Arts in north central Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb killed two people and wounded 20 others in central Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said.

BAGDHAD - A roadside bomb wounded three people in southern Baghdad, police said.

NEAR BAGHDAD - Police arrested two insurgents when they raided a village south of Baghdad, police said. They found a corpse in the same area.

BAGHDAD - Gunmen killed a police lieutenant colonel in Sadoun street in central Baghdad, police said.

KUT - A roadside bomb targeting a police rapid reaction force wounded four of them on Wednesday in Kut, 170 km (105 miles) southeast of Baghdad, police said.

BAIJI - A roadside bomb targeted a police patrol and killed a policeman and wounded three others on Wednesday in Baiji, 180 km (112 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

TIKRIT - Gunmen killed a police officer on Wednesday in Tikrit, 175 km (110 miles) north of Baghdad, police said

BAGHDAD - U.S. forces killed 38 suspected insurgents and wounded nine in a firefight in northern Baghdad that lasted nearly an hour-and-a-half on Sunday, the U.S. military said.

KIRKUK - U.S. forces backed by helicopters killed eight gunmen and captured 14, and one coalition force member was killed in a gunbattle on Tuesday after gunmen ambushed a joint U.S and Iraqi patrol south of Kirkuk, the U.S. military said.
