Oct 13 (Reuters) - Following are security and other developments in Iraq reported on Friday as of 1235 GMT:

BAGHDAD - Two car bombs exploded in central Baghdad, wounding two civilians, police said.

BAGHDAD - At least 25 bodies were found in different parts of Baghdad over the last 24 hours, police said. The bodies bore signs of torture and had gunshot wounds.

DIWANIYA - Gunmen shot dead a civilian near his house in the southern province of Diwaniya, police said.

HAWIJA - Three policemen were wounded when two mortar rounds hit their building near the town of Hawija southwest of the northern oil city of Kirkuk, police said.

MOSUL - Police said they killed eight insurgents and seized 65 others in the northern city of Mosul over the last 24 hours.

BAGHDAD - The Iraqi army killed 10 insurgents and arrested 43 others over the last 24 hours in different parts of Iraq, the Iraqi military said.

BAGHDAD - The U.S. army said it killed two insurgents linked to al-Qaeda and seized another five on Oct. 12 during a raid in Baghdad.

BAGHDAD - One insurgent was killed and six other were arrested on Oct 12. in a raid by the U.S. army in the town of Mahmudiya, 30 km (20 miles) south of Baghdad, the U.S. army said.
