BAGHDAD, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Two suicide car bombers killed at least 10 people and wounded 35 in a mainly Shi'ite area of eastern Baghdad on Saturday, police sources said.

The bombers detonated their vehicles in close succession near a busy intersection in the commercial street of the capital's New Baghdad district.

There has been a spate of bombings in Baghdad this week.

Shi'ite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has vowed to tackle militants from across the sectarian divide with equal force in a planned crackdown in the capital.
