N'DJAMENA, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Chadian President Idriss Deby on Saturday sacked his defence minister following a week of clashes between government troops and rebels in the east of the landlocked African country.

A presidential decree said Mahamat Nour, a former anti-Deby rebel chief who became defence minister in March after signing a peace deal with the government, had been dismissed. (Reporting by Dany Danzoumbe; Writing by Pascal Fletcher)
