VIENNA, Oct 2 (Reuters) - Austria detained a man linked to Monday's arrest of a Bosnian man who tried to enter the U.S. embassy in Vienna carrying an explosives-filled rucksack, local newswire APA reported on Tuesday.

The second man was an acquaintance of the Bosnian, also living in Tulln near Vienna, APA quoted a police spokeswoman as saying.

She said there was no evidence to support a newspaper report saying he had instigated the attack on the embassy.
