BAGHDAD, May 3 (Reuters) - Four U.S. government contractors, all from the Philippines, were killed in a rocket attack on the heavily fortified Green Zone compound in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Wednesday, the U.S. embassy said on Thursday.

A number of rockets and mortar bombs have been fired at the Green Zone over the past few days, but until now there had been no reports of casualties.
