(Corrects to make clear man shot on Friday) HEBRON, West Bank, May 3 (Reuters) - Israeli soldiers shot dead a Palestinian man who arrived at an army checkpoint south of the West Bank city of Hebron carrying a knife, Palestinian officials and Israeli medics said on Saturday. Soldiers manning the checkpoint opened fire on Khalil al-Za'ari, 28, late on Friday after he ignored calls to drop his knife, an army spokeswoman said.
