Plane mechanic survived Congo crash - ministry

KINSHASA, Oct 5 (Reuters) - A Congolese mechanic on board the plane which crashed in Kinshasa on Thursday survived the accident and is alive in hospital, the Humanitarian Affairs Ministry said on Friday.

"We now know there is a survivor in hospital. He's the mechanic (of the plane)," ministry spokesman Saleh Kinyongo told Reuters.
