GAZA, Oct 5 (Reuters) -Israeli troops on Friday shot and killed an armed Palestinian near the border fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel, the army said. An Israeli army spokesman said troops shot and killed a man who opened fire at them from the Gaza side of the border fence. Palestinian ambulance staff in Gaza said they were unable to reach the area to confirm the man had died.
