Austrian plane, helicopter collision kills 8-report

VIENNA, March 5 (Reuters) - Eight people were killed on Monday when a light sports plane and a helicopter collided near the Austrian ski resort of Zell am See, Austrian news agency APA reported.

The transport helicopter had seven people on board according to a Red Cross spokesman and had been on the way to deliver equipment to a regional power plant, APA said.

The pilot of the sports plane was also killed in the crash, APA added. The plane had no passengers according to an employee of Zell am See airport where it had taken off.
