Iraq will open a new refinery in the holy city of Najaf on Saturday with a capacity of 10,000 barrels per day which will go towards local consumption, the oil ministry spokesman said on Friday. Iraq, which sits on the world's third-largest known oil reserves, faces chronic domestic fuel shortages and Iraqis have to queue for hours to fill their vehicles.
