FACTBOX-Security developments in Iraq, Dec 7

Dec 7 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1300 GMT on Friday.

* denotes new or updated items.

* BAGHDAD - Unidentified gunmen wounded three policemen in an attack on a police station in the Sunni Arab district of Adhamiya in northern Baghdad, police said.

* BALAD - U.S. and Iraqi forces killed a suspected al Qaeda fighter and detained 55 other suspects in two separate operations on Thursday near the town of Balad, 80 km (50 miles) north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

* BAGHDAD - U.S. soldiers detained nine suspects during an operation to disrupt al Qaeda networks in Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

* NEAR KIRKUK - Unidentified gunmen killed a civilian in the town of Taza, southwest of Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

* RASHAD - A roadside bomb wounded five policeman near the small town of Rashad, 30 km (20 miles) south of Kirkuk, police said.

MUQDADIYA - A female suicide bomber wearing a vest packed with explosives killed 16 people and wounded 27 in the town of Muqdadiya, 90 km (55 miles) northeast of Baghdad, police said.

RABIA - Gunmen killed four leaders of neighbourhood police units and wounded two others in a drive-by shooting on Thursday in the village of Rabia in Iraq's remote northwest near the Syrian border, police said.

BAGHDAD - Five bodies were found in different districts of Baghdad on Thursday, police said.

KIRKUK - Gunmen killed one civilian and wounded another in a drive-by shooting in southern Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, on Thursday, police said.
